Not really much to say.

There isn't really much to say about today. So far it's been it's been full of ups and downs. We started season 10 of M.A.S.H. Making it fully to the second disk. Some time today Terry called and left a message on the voice mail asking if we could come get the escort because they are out of their house tomorrow. The lack of notice is annoying, but too late for that I guess. Jen was feeling a bit better today, but then her belly took a turn for the not so good. Her fever has been up and down all day.

Mike got home about six and we had some pizza rolls for dinner. About seven Jen got up from her nap and we played some sorry until Jess showed up. He was here for a bit. Cam, Mike and I played a game of sorry while he hung out with Jen and uploaded some stuff to her Ipod. Mike went to be a little late tonight.

After Jess left I filled out my form for the unemployment office and stuck it in the mailbox. Hopefully they will accept it and mail me the missing check, hard to tell with that. They either will or won't. No way to know till after the fact. I'm starting to get a little tired, groggy as the case maybe. It's a little after ten, by now we are normally in bed either asleep or M.A.S.H.ing it.

Guess tomorrow we'll have to get the escort moved. Sounds like there is a thunderstorm rolling in now. Maybe it'll break the humidity and cool the weather some. If nothing else at least it'll sound nice.

Strange Dreams

I had the strangest dream last night.

I can't recall all of it, but I was in the army. Or at least I was in something that resembled an army. I shared a little room with Jen when I was off duty. She worked at a hospital. It was raining the whole time. Someone broke into our room and stole our stuff.

Other then that the dream is a blur. I don't know what it was about, but it was strange.

Over the Hedge

It was a funny movie. I recommend seeing it. There where a couple of parts where I laughed out loud. Even with the annoying kids further down the row, and the ones behind us it was fun. If you liked Shrek I'd go see it.

Just a thought.

Well, No Outback...

We didn't got Outback, they don't open until 4pm. Kinda late for Lunch. But we did make it to Stillwater which was yummy. Got a 12oz sirloin and a baked potato. After that we came home for some more M.A.S.H. Then Mike got home.

We played 3 games of Sorry (Thank you Jess and Liz) and 1 game of Candy Land. So far it stands Jen 2, Me 1, and Mike 1. (Mike won at Candy Land). Now it appears we are going to take Mike to the 4:30 showing of Over the Hedge. Looks like a funny movie. Hope it all goes well. We'll have to wait and see. I'm excited. After a month of being in the house almost non stop a movie should be fun. At least I hope so.

Let ya'll know how it goes after the flick!

Mike Quote of The Day:

There are no rules in Chess...

Outback Steak House....

I'd like to go to Out Back for my Birthday.

I would also like Braveheart on DVD, and Kingdom Hearts II for the PS2.

Today...

Today has started out to be a relatively good day. Started out early, 6:00 or so we woke up and played some M.A.S.H. Almost through season 8 now. About 6:30 Mike got up to go to the bathroom. After he was tucked back into bed I got up to make some Alfredo noodles for Jen and I. After that it was back to bed for more M.A.S.H.

About 7:30 Mike got up for good. We pulled him into bed with us for some movies. We started with "Mars Attacks" but after about 20 mins we realized that it wasn't a good kids movie, so we decided to try out Merlin. You know the T.V. mini series that came out about 10 years ago. Mike seemed to enjoy it. At least he watched the whole thing with minimal talking. Which is strange for him. All in all it went good, just one small break down when Mike almost kicked Jen in the face, then knocked a water bottle off the bed. With that all settled I'm in the living room waiting on the water to boil for Mac & Cheese. Jen and Mike are in the bedroom watching some of the DVD special features.

I think the biggest problem today was when my sister called. Some how my sister calling always seems to ruin part of the day. It's never anything good. This time she called to have me tell Cam that my brother in-law is on his way to Cam's parents to drop off the motorcycle...

That's right, apparently Cam bought my brother in-law Chris' motorcycle, and is having it sent to his parents. Now, personal opinion about Cam and a motorcycle aside, this seems like a bad idea. This is the same motorcycle uncle Tim traded to Chris for a plow. The one that had a choke that didn't work, and that as far as I know didn't run. In the two years that Chris has owned it, I've never seen it moved from the same spot in his yard. At any rate, it's gonna have to be worked on, but that's cool I guess. My big question is, why is it that when ever anybody in my family has something to do with other people I know, I always get dragged into it?

Cam's buying the bike, great, why call me? Can't you call him? Well, he didn't give me his number, I only talk to him on line. Bull shit, Cam's number hasn't changed in 5 years, I know she has it. Same with Uncle Tim. He wants his Nextel back from Terry, some how this is my problem. He calls me every day trying to get it from him. Rather then just calling Terry. I know that he had Terry's home number in his cell, I've been with him when he's called it before. Why do they have to drag me into it?

Guess my parents and sister are having a BBQ today. She told me we could come if we wanted to. Surprising that no one bother to give us notice. But then my family never does. Not that I expect them to.

Mike's out here now, complaining because I can't make Mac & Cheese instantly, that is has to be cooked. He's been complaining a lot lately.

Wednesday, December 31st, 7:02pm

That is what the time on my Mac reads. During the power outage Mike and I where watching Justice League on my Mac, in lue of a real T.V. We got about 3/4 of the way though one episode when the battery died. It was supposedly at 98% too. Think that's ample proof that it's junk. The battery not the Mac. When I got it plugged in and charging, turned it on and it claimed to be at 60% already.

At any rate, it's really 4:04 in the morning on Friday. Got out of bed about 10 mins ago. Woke up in a sweat, not tired anymore. Currently I'm out on the couch, not wanting to wake Jen. I doubt I'll be able to go back to sleep. Not that it matters much, we have to be up in 3 hours to go to the Dr. This is the third day in a row I've woken up really early. My headache is mild at the moment, maybe it's because I got up instead of forcing my self to stay in bed until 6 or 7. Not sure, but who knows.

At any rate, not much happening here, hopefully Jen's appointment goes well. I mean, I'm sure it will. If ever there was someone that needed a breast reduction, it's her. Maybe it'll help with her back pain?

Thunder Storm

Sounds like we have one heck of a thunder storm rolling in. I can hear the thunder, and the wind is bowing the trees almost in half. Sounds like it's going to be a fun night.

6am and all is not really well.

Woke up at 6am with a horrible headache. Well, to be truthful, Mike woke up at 6am having to use that bathroom, which woke me. But at any rate, I had a horrible headache. It was one of those that feels like someone is jabbing an ice pick into your eyes every time you move your head. It hurt to move, hurt worse to lay still. Had to roll out of bed and take two DayQuil and four Ibprofen. After which I took a long hot shower. Even with the water 3/4 of the way to hot it still felt like someone was dumping ice water on me. Would have turned it up higher, but I know our water comes out of the tap nearly boiling.

After the shower I made my way to the kitchen to make Jen some rice. Seems like rice and pizza bread are the only things she can eat. Well, that and flavor-ice. At least she can keep food down, that's a lot better then a week ago. I had toast for breakfast, I love buttered toast. After the food we watch some more M.A.S.H. We're on season 7 now. Lots of M.A.S.H.

It's now 9am, we are up with Mike. I'm listing to Jen read to Mike. "Lafcadio, The Lion that Shot Back." Sounds like an interesting book, Mike seems to enjoy it. Today is his field day, he has games and activities at school, should be fun. It's also purple day, he's supposed to wear purple to school. He doesn't really own any purple clothes, luckily the bug shirt from Mackinac island has a purple bug on it.

Cam's out of the shower, Jen's done with the book. Mike will be leaving in a min or two. My head is still pounding from the head ache, but at least it's not stabbing blinding pain when ever I move. I hate having migraines, whole damn family suffers from them. It's a pain in the arse.

State of Michigan

Gotta love the state of Michigan,

After receiving my Marvin check for last week, but not for the two weeks before hand I called the unemployment office. According to their record, when I called two Fridays ago for lack of said check, which was not shipped because I did not register for work, I had told the lady on the phone that I did not want the check.

Now logically, why would I call the unemployment office to ask about a check I didn't want? But it was in their computer that I had told them not to send it. I'm not one to lose my temper with someone on the phone, it doesn't normaly do any good. Most times the person on the phone isn't at fault, this woman was being helpful. She was trying to figure out what had happened, besides yelling at someone with the power to terminate your unemployment on a whim seems like a bad idea.

After some investigation she figured out that after my failure to register for work I needed to do a late registry, which I was not aware of. The previous woman not only didn't bother to mention this, she told me my check would get mail out. Ok, we got what happened sorted out, now how to fix it?

It's simple, they will mail me a form to fill out. I have to answer the questions and mail it back. Then they have to process it, and finding no faults they will mail me out a check, or attach the sum to my next check after that. So your looking at 2-3 days for me to get the form, then another 3-4 days for it to get back. After that it's god knows how long to get the check. All because some woman pushed the wrong button on the computer, or was too lazy to want to fill out the right form.

I am a little irate about it, was gonna use this check to get my license back, which would greatly help in the job search. The department of treasury finely mailed me the other payment amount. With slightly over 1,500 I can get it back, and go about driving. Course with my luck I'll only have it for about a month. A month seems like about the max time I've had it sense I was 18, the first time it got suspended.

Oddly enough, every time it's ever been suspended it been for driving someone else's car with bad plates.

Sunday.

Well, it's Sunday again. Mike just got home, Grampa was our savior taking him a day early and bringing him home late tonight. Don't think we could have made it this weekend with out it. Jen spent most of Saturday making the cakes and brownies. We where up till about 4am doing it. Mind you, we didn't get out of bed until about 10pm, but still when your sick that's along time. She's been sleeping a lot, usually she's wake for 4 or five hours, then asleep for 4 or 5. We only slept about an hour Saturday, while we waited for the cake to bake and cool, and at that it was broken sleep.

We had to run to the store early Sunday, to pick up a few things for the cake. We where out of the house be 8:30 and home by 9:30. All in all the cakes and brownies were done by 11:30. Which gave us 30 minutes to nap. Liz's party appeared to go well, she looked suppressed. Lots of people I didn't know, but that's cool. Everybody seemed to love the 'ugly' cake. Jen did good until we got home, then she started feeling ill again. But that could be the fact that she got no real sleep, and didn't eat. After a few hours of sleep she seems good again. And some pizza bread, flavor-ice, cotton candy and a Peanut Butter and Butter sandwich, the miracle cure all...

Think I'm coming down with a cold. I hate getting sick, it's never fun.

Ah well, could be worse I guess. At least I can breath.

Happy Birthday Liz!!

The sickness...

It's been one of those days. Woke up at 6am and had to make a mad dash to the bathroom. Nausea. Spent what felt like a full 20 mins in there getting sick, then back to bed. The pain in the stomach seemed to go away when I was down. About 7 I got up to go to the bathroom again, after standing for the 30 seconds I was up I was sick again.

I seem to do ok if I'm not standing. When every I stand for more then a few mins at a time I get sick. I just tried some toast. My belly was grumbley needed to eat something, so far so good.

Jen's still not feeling well, she went to the Dr. Today. By the time she made it home she was really ill. Just laying there seemed to help some. We're both up with Mike at the moment. Made him some ravioli, and watching some Shrek. Dr. Mika confirmed my suspicions, I'm married to a vampire. He told her to stay in a cold dark room for a few weeks. I'm sure now that the weakness and lethargy I've been feeling is from the blood she syphons from me while I sleep.

Hmmm...

Evidently some people are having problems posting comments to my blog, I've changed some of the comment setting, maybe it'll help?

Don't know why they would have been having problems, I didn't change anything to cause them.

Oh well...

I have decided...

I have come to the conclusion that Jen has become a vampire. I do not know how it happened, it must have been a direct result of working in the hospital. I believe that she is not a full fledged vampire, having not made her first kill yet.

My evidence is thus:
It seems to me, any time that Jen is out of our bedroom when the sun is out she is ill. She can sleep all day long, getting out of bed at 8:30 and never get ill. But if she gets up at 7:00 when the sun is still up she is sick until about 9:00. At first I thought this might be sleep or food related. But, she can go to sleep at 6:30 pm and get up at 8:00 with Mike, by 8:30 she is ill. I also thought it might be food related. But she was able to eat the KFC with out getting sick.

There can be only on conclusion. She is a vampire.

Fucking Unemployment

I hate unemployment. Evidently I was supposed to register with "Michigan Works!" on or before April 14th. As I was not aware of this, having never needed to do it in the past, I had not done it. But, being that I am jobless, and in need of a job, I had posted a resume with both Michigan Works and Career Builder this morning before I made my call to the Unemployment office. As Jen stated, I need a job, we wont survive with out one. Lacking a license or a mode of transportation, the internet seems the best way to search for one. They are supposed to mail me a check the next business day, which would be Monday. Hopefully by Tuesday or Wednesday I'll have it in the mail. Hopefully someone will look at my resume and contact me, so I can find a job.

If anybody out there in blog land can give me some tips on internet job hunting, I'd appreciate the help.

I think they know...

I think the state spies on us, and waits until it the most likely to screw us over before doing stuff. Still no check from Marvin. Got all the other ones on time, then the one we really need to show up on time, it never shows up. Gonna call them when Mike leaves for school and see what's up.

Still no M.A.R.V.I.N

My check still hasn't come. According to Marvin I still have 9 weeks of unemployment, and they've mailed it out. But still no check. This is starting to get bad. Or rather, it's been bad and it's starting to get worse. Tried calling them, but they evidently close at 4:30 instead of 5:00.

Insomnia Sucks.

I hate having Insomnia. It's 4:00 and I know that I'll have to get up with Mike in less then 5 hours. Yet I sit here doing nothing. I have been laying in bed sense midnight. Just laying here with my eyes open, staring at the ceiling. I could be worrying about something, or not being able to let something go. If I am it's sub-conscious, cause all I'm doing is staring, and watching the clock tick by.

Maybe I'll be able to sleep now that I've blogged?

HAPPY BIRTHDAY JEN'S MOM!!!

Not really in the mood to blog...

Nothing really to say today.

This day went shitty.

That's about all I have to say on the subject.

"Aye, it's done."

Monday, May 01, 2006

So Cam left for work with out taking Mike to school today. That wouldn't be too bad execpt Mike is horribly whinney today. He's only be up 15 mins, and has already broken down into crying twice. He evidently doesn't like oatmeal today, even though he's eaten it every other morning for the last two months. It's amazing how he decides these things.
