Can you say Ambidextrous?

Apparently the ability to say the word in no way imparts the skill upon a person. You can tell by the way that I can clearly say the word, but my right had remains dumb. Check out the pictures below for an example.

This is my left hand, after the first day of my second week and Valvoline. I think you may notice the lack of cuts or burns on it. This is because my left had does what it's told. After all I am left handed.

And this is my rebellious right hand, always doing exactly the opposite of what I tell it to. Some times I think that it is masochistic because it intentionally causes me harm. You'll notice the cuts and burns on it, most of which are today. If you look at the wrist you'll notice the big burn there. That would be the burn from the manifold I told my right had to avoid at all costs. It there for needed to rebel and touch it no less the 6 times.

...

My legs feel like I just went on a 20 mile hike up the side of a mountain, then back down again.

Think that place needs to install an elevator, or escalator or something. On the bright side, I was a lot less 'oily' after work yesterday. With only one burn, although it was a good one. Heard the skin sizzle when it happened.

So far, so good.

So begins day three.

...

My first day officially ended at 6:45 today. I got home with just enough time to take a shower and eat the yummy chinese that Cam bought. THANKS CAM!!!

So far the oil change business doesn't seem that bad, granted it was only my first day. But I think it might pan out. I'm told that if you do a good job the pay increases rather quickly.

I managed to get covered head to toe in oil, and I only burned my self 5 times.

The Good, The Bad, and The Covered in Oil...

No, it's not one of those kinds of post.

I am officially employed by Valvoline Instant Oil change in Brighton. Jen and I saw their help wanted sign out front yesterday, and I went up (With some assistance from Jen) to "fill out an app".

It went basically like this, I pulled the van into the parking lot next door. I always miss the parking lot for Valvoline. Stepped through the bushes into the Valvoline lot and got about 3 steps before I heard a very loud voice...

Don: JAMES!!!
Me: DON!!! (This is our typical greeting, as we don't see each other more then once or twice a year.)

Don: What's up man?
Me: Saw the help wanted sign, thought I pop in and fill out an app.
Don: Great, when can you start?
Me: When do you want me to?

So, I start at 10:00 tomorrow. Jobs got good points, and bad points. Though I think for the start the bad will out weigh the good. Well, have to wait and see. It pays less hourly then I make now, obviously. But it's 40 + hours a week. So the end check should be the same, or comparable.

I have to pay for the uniforms, and the cleaning of said uniforms. But that's okay I guess. It's only $16.00 every two weeks. It's 8:00 to 6:30. Would be kind of nice to have a job with set hours. I'd like knowing when I get to leave every day.

Guess will just have to wait and see how it turns out.

MQoTD

Jen: So, if I e-mail your teacher, is she going to tell me the same story?
Mike: No, she's not.

This pertains to the story he told us about why he lost 5 mins of recess today. Which was lead into by the fact that he did not eat his snack today, and we want to know...
