Yea, sick again.
Once again I'm coming down with something. My throat is swollen and scratchy, my nose is stuffy, I have a splitting headache and I'm on the edge of vomiting.

Once again Jen is trying to raise money for the Relay for Life, an event to raise money and awareness about breast cancer. Her goal is posted on the page, and with luck she can blow past it like she did last year. So, go to her page and donate some money.
For god sakes man, save the boobies!!!

Tonight was the Raingutter Regatta, so once again we braved the swarming mass of screaming kids to participate in a boat contest. Mike put a lot more effort into his boat this year then in last. (I made the boat last year, he just spray painted it.) He also put more effort into the race it's self.
The boat...

Mike seemed to have a lot more fun this time around too, even going so far as to practice before the 'big race'. During the race he also did better this time around. Although he still came in last over all he got second place in the first of the four races, and third in the second. Unfortunitly, he was last in the last two races, which cause him to be last over all.
Mike waiting to race, then the start.

At the end Mike had fun, and got a neat ribbon. Next year he might even come in higher then last. He also managed to break his boat by the end, luckily it wasn't until after the race that it happened. Once he got his ribbon we left, he didn't want to stick around and watch the bigger kids.
Ending the last race, and accepting his reward...

Mike holding his boat and ribbon...

It was a big step for Mike, getting up there to race even though he was last the previous year. He has such a hard time doing anything in front of people, especially things he doesn't feel he's good at.

Once again it's time to work on the Raingutter Regatta for boy scouts...
Mike and I just made a trip to the store to pick up the pain and sand paper we're going to need to start it.
I'll take some pictures along the way, but as mike already started the first coat they won't be from the start. It's the same kit as last time, so if you want to know what the start looked like, just refer to past blogs.

After 46 days we finally managed to get my phone fixed. And by fixed I mean they sent me a new one.
It only took 2 calls to sprint to get it activated, the first one I got asked my name and passcode. When I didn't know it the lady on the pone hung up on me. I hate customer service at spring.
So, my phone works now. And I have most my contacts back in it. Though I'm still missing a lot of them. All my pictures and text messages are gone too.

We had to bring Jen back to the hospital today.
Yesterday we had to take her to ER with extreme pain and nausea. After giving her some pain medicine and something for the vomiting they sent us home, so today we ended up back at the ER.
And now we are back in the hospital, 2 rooms away from the one last time as they try to get stuff sorted out.
With any luck this will be the last time.

Jen has been home from the hospital for almost 2 hours now. Currently she is sleeping in the bedroom. I think it's probably something she needed more of then anything else, she didn't really get a lot of sleep at the hospital. With the pain, and the nurses coming in all the time.
I'm hanging out in the living room because I don't want to be bouncing her around in the bed. She probably doesn't need that added pain. Hopefully now that she is home and comfortable she her improvement will be quicker.

It is officially day one here at the hospital. Yesterday was post-op day, and now we are on to day one. Jen appears to be doing good. She got pancakes, ham, and hash browns for breakfast. Except that I ate a hash brown, all the ham and a pancake. She was supposed to get toast to, but it was a no show. We just got the jelly for it.
Jen is awake and blogging on her own now, so the information should be a little more detailed. Though I plan on keeping people up to date with the progress while she is un able to, or sleeping.
At some time in the near future she will be getting a shower, at which point I’m going to jet home for my own shower, some food and other supplies. There are things I didn’t bring that I probably should have. Jen wants a sandwich too, so I’ll be bringing some of those back with me, along with some clean socks.
On a side note, I miss my MAC. This computer sucks, I don’t know if it’s because I’m adjusted to the MAC now, or if its just this computer. Its lame, none of the hot keys work right, there is no built in spell checker. The MAC will check spelling as you type in any program, I can’t even get Opera to do it on this computer with a 3rd party program. Not to mention if you leave the mouse hovering over anything for more the a few seconds it clicks on that object, even if your not touching the track pad.
And it’s sluggish, the start bar sucks, programs don’t run in the background with out eating up processing power. On the bright side it has a battery, and run a great bit cooler then the MAC, but there is no DVD player and itunes is strangely bare.

The nurse came in just few mins ago to get Jen moving around a bit. She was up and standing, and are now preparing for a quick spin down the hall.
She is doing much better now that the pain medication is working right.
Once she is back in bed she will attempt to sleep for the night.
**EDIT 11:55pm**
They are back from the walk, Jen is sore but otherwise good. It's lights out for us soon.

Jen's room has Wi-Fi access, which is cool. It makes it easy to keep track of the world at large. But it's St. Joe net access so it kinda sucks. I've already found a den websites I visit on a daily basis that the network blocks. Which is sad, because I haven't even tried any of the porn sites.
Edit: 01-08-08: 9:13am
They have photobucket blocked!! My blog and various other pages won't load the images. They have photobucket catagorized as "Custom Pages" so it is blocked. Yet you can still get on Myspace.
End Edit
And it's slow, almost dial-up slow. It takes for ever to load any pages.
In an effort to conserve the life of my Mac cord, and the fact that it has no battery I decided to bring the Dell laptop (Uncle Tim's) that was hanging out in the closet. It's sluggish, and has no DVD player. But at least it won't turn off every time it comes unplugged and I don't have to worry about security issues on an unsecured network.

Jen is out of surgery and doing well in here room. She is currently sleeping off the effects of the medication.
Once she is up and feeling a bit better she will be able to fill in the details.

I'm in the waiting room now, Jen just went in for surgery.
We should have more information in about 2 hours or so.
I'll try to keep everybody up to date.

Living Room, Dining Room and Kitchen are clean. With the exception of the stuff that needs to go out to the garbage or the garage because I'm not allowed to lift them.
Thanks for the assist Cameron.

It's 4:13 in the morning and I'm laying in bed listening to my headphones. I spent the last hour and a half laying here trying to sleep with no luck. It's a shitty feeling to be stuck home alone on New Years. I didn't even bother to watch the ball drop because Jen was stuck at work. It's here holiday on, so she had no choice. It's holiday pay which is nice, but it still sucks to be stuck home alone.
Even if I didn't have Mike here with me I couldn't have gone out and done anything. My back wouldn't allow it. Not that it matters, even if my back was good and Mike was at Jen's folks I wouldn't want to go out, I miss my wife.
The closest thing we can come to hanging out is to text each other while she works. I can't even call her because I have no phone. I have to text from my Yahoo account.
Such a shitty feeling, and I can't even sleep it off.
My back hurts. Yippy.
