My Head Hurts

I have had a headache for three days now. No amount of aspirin seems to help.

Mario to the Rescue

What is it about the Super Mario games that make them so damn addicting? They are so simple a five year old can play them, yet challenging enough that an adult can spend hours on them and not get bored. Hell, they are even fun to watch.

Who ever designed this particular type of crack should be drug out into the street and shot.

My Head Hurts

Computer room is cleaned out at last, all the boxes are gone. The bedroom is mostly cleaned out. Yippey! Doesn't look like the ferrets are going to work out, two out of three of them are not litter trained and tend to shit all over the place. Probably going to have to take them back, neither Jen nor I have time to clean up after them every few hours. Bedroom closet has an overwhelming smell of cinnamon, it reminds me of "Atomic Fireballs", you know those jaw breakers we all used to chew on as kids.

Less then a month till X-mas, still shopping to do for everybody. This time of year always sucks. Got to pay your bills, which you barley have money for to begin with, then on top of all of the normal prices you have gifts to buy. Lots and lots of gifts, depending on the size and closeness to your family. I don't plan on buying anything for my extended family, I doubt that they got us anything anyway. We are still buying for Jen's family, and I know they got us stuff, so we should buy in return.

And of course, to make matters worse my job is seasonal. Which means I make more money at X-mas time then I do in the summer. In the past this never posed a problem, when I worked for Metro we got out benefits checks the weekend before X-mas, which means that I had a few grand to blow. But I switched jobs, meaning I do not have that anymore. I've been wondering as of late why I left there. Yea, it sucked, but not much more then working where I do now. The only comfort I have is that the pit has been cut back to fourty hours a week for the last two months, and they probably won't have any more next summer. Maybe I got out just in time?

Blargh!

God, I've eaten way to much sense Thursday. Ate like a pig on thanksgiving, which isn't that big of a deal. But then I stuffed my self Friday, eating twice as much as I normal do on lunch, then a huge dinner. Then I had a turkey sandwich at around midnight. Now come Saturday, I had a huge sandwich for lunch, with chips. Then we went to McDonald's not twenty minutes later and I got a double cheese burger and a ten piece. Dinner was good, went to Still Water, got pork chops and potatoes, salad, bread and like five glasses of Mountian Dew. I'm so stuffed I don't think I could roll down the stairs if I had to.

On another note. Jen got some ferrets from a rescue shelter today. She picked up three of them. They only came with two cages so we had to buy a third, but that's cool. They are cool. They are mostly friendly, though they need some time to get used to us I think. I've wanted a pet ferret for as long as I can remember. Hell, way back when I was five or six. Saw one on T.V. once and thought they looked cool, I don't even remember the show. We've renamed two of the ones we've got. We are now calling the "Ten" and "Jerry". They third can keeps it's name "Snickers" because it is a rather fitting name.

As of now the ferrets are cute, and cuddly, and not to much of a pain. But, we'll see how we feel about then in a week or two.

Chaoticly Connected

Work sucked today. Once again too much work with the wrong tools. Something that should have taken me a few hours took all day.

On the bright side, it's Almost Thanksgiving, my favorite holiday. Hmmm..... I can almost taste the turkey, mashed potatoes and corn. I'm drooling thinking about it. I can't wait. As of now I'm not working Thursday, or rather I should say I'm definitely not working Thursday. Chris is not sure about Friday and Saturday. I doubt I'm that lucky, I'm not keeping my hopes up.

It's almost Mike's bed time. Gonna do the dishes, and maybe fold the laundry. After that maybe I can talk Jen into the room so we can "watch a movie".

Hanging Out Can Be Fun To Do...

Well the pet expo was kinda cool. I liked seeing the different kind of dogs. I forgot how much I liked really big dogs. Wish we could get one. I'd like a Lab of some sort. After the expo we went to dinner at Olive Garden. The food was good as per usual, and the service was ok. I've had better there, but I've had a lot worse also.

On a side note, do not sit in a leather chair with no shirt on when the hose is cold, it's not a nice feeling.

Time for Breakfast

Well, it's time to go to breakfast, a Sunday tradition. At least it's kind of a Sunday tradition.

Went to the new Harry Potter movie last night. It sucked. Well, that's not true. It was a good movie, and had I not read the books I would have enjoyed it more. It did have it's funny parts. The special effects where good, and the characters where mostly right. The biggest problem I had with it was the plot. It changed to focus of the story from the books. The reversed it, they made the important part the background story, and the back ground story the important part. And they left out way to much. There are things that they left out that should never have been left out. Things that are important for the next two books.

But what can you expect from Hollywood?

Old habits

Ever try to break your self of an old habit? Something that you have been doing as long as you can remember, which is saying a lot considering I can remember being five years old. It's not an easy thing to do. How do you stop your self from doing something that you don't know your doing until it's to late? I'd really like to know, any advice would be welcome. I've been trying to break my self of a habit my wife can't stand for, well longer then we've been married, and I haven't managed it yet. So, anybody that can lend me a hand, it would be helpful.

I would really like to be able to stop, or even recognize the fact that I'm doing it.

Sleep Good.

It's amazing how much a four hour nap in the middle of the day helps.

Of course getting out of work at noon is nice too.

Mmmm... Sleep....

Random Quote of the Day.

"Chuck Norris is not hung like a horse... horses are hung like Chuck Norris"

"Chuck Norris is currently suing NBC, claiming Law and Order are trademarked names for his left and right legs."

Feeling Naked?

I took my ring off in the shower last night and left it on the soap dish all night. My hand was really dirty, needed to wash it. It's amazing how naked I felt all day with out it. I had to keep feeling my fingers, wondering while they felt odd through the gloves.

My Knees Hurt

Enough said....

Sore and Dirty, but hey, at least it's Cold.

So, all the guys walked off the job today. At least the four guys we had left, the rest went back to Mexico already. They left because they where cold. What a bunch of pussies. So I got stuck going an hour from where I was working to finish up their job for them. Five skids of sod, and 25 mulch blankets, and only four of us to do it. Well, Five if you count Chris. It was bad enough that Chris ended up calling Tim and asking him to bring help. So we ended up with Tim and three of his guys bringing to total up to eight (Yes Tim worked) . To top it all off, it was 34 degrees out, and snowing. I love Michigan weather, makes life so interesting.

On to other things, Well, it's been three years sense my last hair cut, as of Monday that is. It is now officially longer then it's ever been. Jen likes me better with hair, I'm happy about that I like having it. Though I'll admit it's a pain when I get out of the shower, or when I first get up.

You know, what I would really like for X-mas is a nice thick warm hoodie that I could wear to work and keep me warm, I have my carharts, but they aren't always good to wear, sometimes they are just to thick. I would like a nice hooded shirt to wear when I need something just a little bit thinner. *HINT HINT HINT*

Day Off Good...

It's nice to have a day off, or a half day off.

I'm probably the only person in the world that thinks it's nice to have a day and accomplish absolutely nothing.

Though, I think I coughed up on lost sleep. If such a thing is possible.

Day would have been more fun with Jen home, but school calls, and she has to answer.

*yawns*
