Job Placement?

Just got back from Kelly Services. I finely broke down and at Jen's insistence I went up there for Job placement. I'm not sure if it is a good idea, but at this point it seems like the only idea.

I was only in the place for 15 mins. They don't do construction, or landscaping type of work. They specialize in light industrial. Which rules out most if not all of my work experience.

I have an appointment to go in on Wednesday at 9:00am to do their registration, which can take anywhere from half an hour to an hour and a half. Once this is done they will 'better know what I can do', and there for be better for placing me.

Though he told me they had a part sorting job I could (and probably will) take in Brighton. If I don't have the experience to do the type of work they handel, guess I'll have to take the jobs they have until I get the experience.

Or at least until I find a place that will give me a real job.

Hope it all goes well, I need two forms of ID. Hope I can find my birth Cirt again. I haven't had a social security card sense I was 16. My Dad lost it, and I never filed for a new one. Oddly enough, I've never needed it for anything.

My word of unsolicited advice? If you're going to temp it... go in there and dazzle them with your Microsoft Office skills and your typing speed. You'd rather spend your time eating donuts as an Administrative Assistant than sweating your ass off in a factory. Easier work, better pay.

I send that opinion. It'd be nice to see you do something that doesn't break your back every day. And your spirit.
Something will work out for us soon! I love you.

I third those comments.
Go for any kind of computer data entry or HTML or whatever you know how to do.
MUCH better than factory work.

You could also look in a contract house for computer work.
I dont think Jess had any certs when he started and they always found him work.

"I send that opinion" was suppose to be I second that opinion. I'm glad everyone always knows what I'm saying even when nothing comes out right. :-)
