Birthday Weekend...

Well, it's Sunday the 3rd of June. Also known as my birthday, so for the weekend has been decent.

To begin with Saturday I had to work, or rather I had to go with the crew out to Dad's house an help them re-shingle the roof. It's the first time that the roof has ever been replaced and any time it rained the living room dripped.

So we all headed over there to do the job, which didn't take a really long time. We took almost 2 hours for lunch, in which my Mom BBQ'd soe burgers and dogs. After eating lunch I decided to take uncle Tim's four wheeler for a swim...

No, you didn't miss read that statement, nor did I miss type it. I took the four wheeler for a spin in the back yard, through the trees and into the swamp. As I was returning to the house I started running it up to 4th gear. Now, for those of you that don't know, my father decided to dig a pond in his yard a few years ago. It's only about 4 feet wide, and maybe 15 feet long. It's also only waist deep. Well, by the time I realize there was a pond there it was too late, I jump the 3 foot cliff and landed in the water. Or rather I landed on the far bank and the four wheeler landed up side down in the water.

Strangely enough, it floats. After putting it the right way, we put some jumper cables on it and it started back up.

By 3 it was raining way too hard to finish working so we quit and I came home. Jen and I tried to go to Olive Garden for dinner but it was way too packed so we went to Still Water instead. Unfortunately Jen had to work so our night was short.

This morning we slept in until almost 3 in the after noon, as Jen worked all night. Then we went to Jen's parents for a nice steak dinner. Her Mom makes really good steak, I'm so full I doubt I can eat another bite for at least another two days or so.

We're home, Jen is sleeping in preparation for work tomorrow. It's supposed to rain all day tomorrow, but I'll have to work anyway. There is 2000 feet of silt fencing we need to get done, regardless of rain status.
